Villa to get Harvey Elliott for £35m 12:51 - Sep 1 with 703 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | In the current transfer climate I think thats a bargain. He's got so much experience and still so young. Not sure Villa is best move for him but think they have a bargain....

But, surely, there must be some negatives to this transfer ?

Villa to get Harvey Elliott for £35m on 13:58 - Sep 1 with 320 views | J2BLUE | Agree. Assume Liverpool are selling as he's almost pure profit after they signed him for something like £3m including add ons so it offsets their big money moves. Or will do next year if it's a loan initially.

They've spent about £400m this summer or Wirtz, Isak and Ekitike among others so no doubt good for PSR to move players like Elliott on. Quansah is the same, £30m for him is pure PSR upside, Morton another, and Doak for £20m+. This seems to be the model, buy the best in the world for £120m spread over 4 years, pay for each year with academy sales. Nice if you can do it.
