If you need a little inspiration early in the week, consider the Ironman athlete I saw yesterday (while volunteering at the hydration station). Bloke is in his 50s so doing a 3-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and then a marathon is impressive enough in itself. But he was doing it with his blind daughter; he had a wrist strap to stay connected with her. Not sure how she figured out the swim and bike part of it, but fair play to them both. |  |

There was also a woman, in her 40s I’d guess, who for the running part of the race was pushing her disabled kid in a buggy type contraption. And had the kid in a small boat for the swim. Have to admire and respect the incredible effort these people put in. Phenomenal stuff. | |
