At some point this season, Hirst and/or Azon will be injured/suspended.
Obviously KMc will have prepared for this when allowing AAH to leave on loan, but what is the plan if/when this happens?
Will Hirst/Azon play 90 mins, or will Akpom come off the bench to play in the '9' role?

Akpom can defintely play as a 9...Szmodics can too, and I hope we see him get a chance to play there at some point when we're up against a low block, as I think his clever movement and ability to get shots off quickly could help us unlock those defences.

I think we've got great flexibility in our forwards now, and as you say Akpom, Sindre and (maybe) Szmodics could play that role for us, and the first two probably over an extended period as well. (I know it's very early days with Sindre but I think we've seen enough to suggest that even if he's unpolished, his power will allow him to be effective.)
It's great for the squad but it's also great for the adaptable individuals who've got extra chances to get game time in various roles when we're coping with injuries and fatigue. |  |

Not sure if anyone else noticed the 2 rockets Sindre let loose in that 2nd half both on target but for players putting bodies in the way. If he gets minutes I can see him getting 10 goals from outside the box this season. Think the first was the save that fell to Clarke for his goal. | | | |
