Indeed. Police officers queued up and were happy to lie and mislead a public inquiry that was trying to establish the facts of how and why fans died at a game of football.
South Yorks and West Mids officers were so corrupt, they had to change the law. That is their legacy. | |

It's ridiculous isn't it. If you had no idea how inquiries worked and simply thought they weres way to establish the truth of events, and then someone had told you there was no requirement for public officials to tell the truth and no consequences for lying, they'd think you were nuts. It's long overdue. |  |
