Stats looks like we dominated, was it that easy?

RIP Sir Bobby

What stats 5 shots on target to 4, 50-50 possession, I am confused.com lol.

A welcome three points largely due to a couple of bits of great play from us and a woeful Pompey.

Very good 1st half. At times very much looked like our old selves.

2nd half a touch disjointed and not so fluid but generally comfortable.

It wasn’t easy, other than the goal, we didn’t look like conceding other than a single chance allowed in the first half. There’s still elements of our play where we can do better (first touches too often heavy for example) but despite Portsmouth looking tidy I didn’t feel the result was in doubt.

First half, yes very dominant. Second half, less so.

Possession rarely tells the story fully - Portsmouth had very little threat for much of the game.

Scoreline flattered them. First half was excellent, poorer when the subs came on.
