Is it wrong to feel in two minds about this?

I appreciate (and am usually fully behind) BA's attempts at creating an atmosphere, but I understand that there is also a sentiment in some quarters that this did more harm than good last time out against Norwich.

if we treated it as just another game our chances of winning would probably vastly improve, however i guess that's unrealistic!

If it creates an atmosphere, I'm all behind it. Question is whether Delia decides to be less silly this time

It's a big NO from me.
Let the players have their usual pre match routines without these kinds of distractions.
Once the players are on the coach travelling to PR they are in the zone and in this nonsense doesn't do them any favours at all.
From what I have seen, Blue Action are mainly kids and this sort of thing probably excites them but for crying out loud, let the players treat it as a normal game with their own normal pre match routines.

It’s not just another game though is it? It never will be.

The club, which I’m assuming includes McKenna & the players, want it to happen.

I don't doubt that, I'm sure its got the seal of approval.

I don't like it personally. I think we're a better side than them, better physically, tactically and technically. We look at our best and most dangerous when we're playing with freedom, so I'd be doing everything I could to make the shirt feel lighter on Sunday and I'm not sure this helps tbh. Appreciate others will have a different opinion though.

BA do speak to the club about these things, they don’t just get dreamt up overnight & happen.

Wouldn't it be far better for Blue Action to greet the Norwich coach with all the chanting and blue smoke flares etc.
Give it to them big style

How do you know they were overhyped & that it was down to the coach greet? What about Exeter & Huddersfield?

Yes absolutely, however the police would have a lot to say about that…

I'm not sure it's necessary for Saturday, and would prefer otherwise, but the reasons we didn't beat Norwich in December 2023 relate more to Broadhead missing multiple chances and switching off for their goals.

Hmm? Maybe Sargent might see the light and decide that in January he wants to pull on a blue shirt like their best player did a month or so ago?

Yup, exactly this.

There are good arguments for & against doing the coach greet, we’ve decided for it, the players want it so we’ve got to go with it & make it as much of a motivation as we can.

We absolutely pissed all over them in that game and they got incredibly lucky at both ends of the pitch.

As much as us football fans tend to become superstitious when it comes to football, the cold hard laws of probability have a 93% chance of ensuring that doesn't happen again. That's a fact.

We're lucky to have Blue Action and I think the coach greets have been great.

And it's not exactly as if we did well when we didn't have anything like this ahead of playing them in Mick era for example. We didn't even sell out the ground. So let's be thankful times have changed!

No they didn't.

Lets not rewrite history on that game. The first half of that game was maybe the best we played all season. We absolutely battered them. Broadhead should've scored 4. I watched it back the other day. It was absolute one way traffic.

We conceded 2 rubbish goals to stop us getting the win, and when I walked out that game I decided we were cursed and will probably never beat them. Was nothing to do with getting overhyped by a bus welcome.

Don’t completely disagree with you.

However it’s a tricky one & we did kind of set a precedent by doing one for the previous home derby. How do you pick & choose which Norwich games warrant one or not?

The biggest thing I hope comes of it (& this won’t be all down to a coach greet by the way) is that we start to get some of that connection back between pitch & stands that has been lost with the departure of the double promotion players.
