Both great players, neither of which deserve to spend lots of time on the bench so for saturday let's start them on the 2 wings JP left ,JC right then swap them over every 20 minutes.
Both can play on either wing although both prefer the left, but either way we need them going forward.
Mcateer isn't a bad player just different and I at home we could be on the front foot a lot more..

Why are people seemingly determined to remodel the bits of the system which have begun working well? Philogene being played on the left in conjuction with Davis has reaped great dividends. Clarke replacing him later in the game has also produced goals. It ain't broke.

This is a structure and a strategy over the whole match, not simply a case of packing the pitch with the best players (in position or otherwise), then bodging the substitute situation once they've run out of steam. We need crack replacements for the forward line on 60 or 70 minutes, not just whoever's left.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I think both JP and JC would be completely ineffectual if we start them on Saturday.

We can do that on Saturday but what about when we play Norwich on Sunday?

Surely thole point of having two quailty players in each position is that we are able to bring one of them on as a finisher and not see a drop in performance? Most other clubs can't do that.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Exactly, this was a big factor last season in terms of our depth and subs were not of the same quality, but the subs our opponents were making were still internationals, so late on in the game we had internationals against players who were brought in league 1.

This season, defenders will hate seeing Jack Clarke etc come on for Jaden with 20/30 minutes to go and vice versa..

I'm worried about the second coming happening on Sunday now and Christ being very pissed off with McKenna at finding himself fourth choice on the bench. I'm sure he could cope with being behind Jack and Jens but it would be the centenarian fellow resurectee that could be the final straw.

Poll: Jack Clarke is
