In the cold light of day, derby aside. An interesting match. 18:29 - Oct 5 with 890 views | homer_123 | We were, occasionally, sloppy in possession again. The high block sgain causing us some problems. Against a better team, we would have come unstuck. However, three significant positives to point out. 1. Physicality - much more physical across all thirds 2. Creativity - individually and collectively we carved out chances 3. Direct - loving the introduction of a longer more direct form of passing and turning the opposition defence. Not perfect but we continue our progression over the last few games. Lots of positives. Oh....and it was a derby, a resoundingly good victory and 3 pts as well.

In the cold light of day, derby aside. An interesting match. on 19:07 - Oct 5 with 709 views | Metal_Hacker | Have to say from where I was sat today it’s so evident our left side operates SO much different to our right The left side is so progressive and there always seems to be more room on that side. Our right side we seem to get bogged down. The amount of times today O’Shea gave Furlong the ball and he had no “out ball” from there. Back to O’Shea. Rinse and repeat. O’Shea’s distribution at times got pretty messy too That said , perhaps that how we set up intentionally ? Overload one side leaving our left side open waiting for a quick switch of play with Leif and Jaden to rip em a new one. Would love to see more from the right side. Again that said , Egeli showed some lovely touches today

Funny how we can all see different things in the games. For me we offered more threat on the right than I’ve seen for ages. Posted this about Sammy & Sindre in another thread. Szmodics Communication by SuffolkPunchFC 5 Oct 19:31They both played some excellent balls to each other. There’s a very promising understanding developing between them. A lot of good stuff down the right today.

I think the two of you might be talking about different elements of our right hand side play. The o'shea/matusiwa/furlong axis isn't worked smoothly. The Tuanzebe/morsy/woolf axis was crucial in 23/24 and was able to drag lots of players over to our right back position before spinning the ball left. However I thought once we got into the middle third there was a much better understanding between Egeli/matusiwa/szmodics that, over time, will become really dangerous. Same with Egeli/szmods/Hirst. If Hirst can carry on running those channels and Egeli/szmods can play off him that can also bring rewards

People need to remember the players on the right only joined us a few weeks ago. That understanding will come, but on a positive, Norwich didn't really create anything down our right. Furlong had a quiet game, but in a positive way, solid defending

I agree with that. McAteer got pulled to shreds on here last match because we couldn’t often play out down the right. But it was never about him. It’s not quite clicking. But we looked much better 2nd half when we played further up the pitch with Narwich tiring/dropping off a bit more.
