| Nsiala Having time away from football on 23:15 - Oct 15 by JakeITFC | He’s a good footballer relative to the general population, he’s a very bad footballer relative to the population of people who have played for Ipswich. I would have him as the worst Ipswich player in my lifetime when considering the amount he played and the fee we paid against his quality and performances. Goes without saying that we all wish him and his family well in whatever is going on and I hope he can get back to playing and a good mental space. Good on him for realising it was better to step away and hopefully he gets the help he needs. |
Again, no need to comment though is there? Also, I’m staggered if you think he’s the worst in your lifetime. There are some notable Keane signings which would like a word.

Quite clear that there is a debate about his ability going on, we don’t have to pretend like we aren’t allowed to discuss these things. There is nobody’s feelings we are protecting here. Keane’s teams were operating at a level above Toto (quite literally). He was the worst player in our worst team.

Ah yes. Someone dares to say something nice about someone going through a hard time. Quick!!! Let’s slag him off. Enough internet for me tonight. Night.

what a shameful, idiotic comment.

Always came across as a decent bloke. As I said above I, and I’m sure everybody else on here, wishes him well with whatever he’s going through 👍 | | | | Login to get fewer ads

1. He’s unlikely to be reading this so you can wipe away your moral superiority and virtue signalling. 2. No one mentioned ability until the poster who said he was a good player.

Actually the first comment relating to ability was "Error prone"

there was a moment in history when the ignorant masses were taught the phrase "virtue signalling"...... Sad to see a fellow human being and a jolly decent one at that going through emotional stress. Hope he gets the love he needs.

| Nsiala Having time away from football on 17:47 - Oct 15 by jasondozzell | Hope he's okay. I know he was error prone at times but he seemed a really decent bloke. Good player and defender. |
I always thought he was a better player than often given credit for. The number of goal-bound shots he blocked was frequently several per game*. Certainly didn't lack the determination to put his body in the way, in an era when Town were doing a lot of last-ditch defending. Commonly blamed for conceding, but mainly because he was always the last line of a pretty porous defence. That physicality could also be his downfall, with sometimes unfortunate cards (but fewer reds than people think - only the one). Plus I doubt he would have suited McKenna's playing-it-out-from-the-back style. * "Great block Nsiala", as Brenner Woolley often used to say.

I think the reaction to someone stating an opinion on his footballing ability (in response to someone who said he was a good player) is a bit mad to be honest. No-one has got personal (other than those insulting Pride Of The East).

Which Keane players were worse out of interest?

Alex Bruce used to get similar plaudits for putting his body on the line and last ditch tackles but it was often his fault there was a chance in the first place due to poor positioning. I don’t blame Toto at all for his performances with us but it was a telling moment in the direction of travel that we were going before the takeover.

| Nsiala Having time away from football on 18:09 - Oct 15 by Swailsey | Yep, because now is the time to say that isn’t it. We’ve had far worse players than him for the record - I assume you’ve only been following us for 5 or 6 years with a comment like that. All the best Toto. [Post edited 15 Oct 18:09]

He was replying to someone saying he was a good player, nothing else. You jumped the gun a bit there I think. Didn’t read the post he was replying to properly maybe ? Anyway you were a bit over defensive I feel.
