Norwich 3 Town 4 Went 2-0 down in the first half. We took a lot of stick from the locals. Then a Colin Viljoen hat trick over 20 minutes either side of half time put us in the lead. We scored again but conceeded late on. Most satisfying.

Was also in attendace for the Crewe 6-4, the 9-0 at Old Trafford and 8-1 against Avennir Beggum These rare goalfests can be a delight but only if your team wins! A few weeks later, I thought about going to Exeter v Fulham but couldn't be bothered and justified my decision on the basis that it couldn't be as good as the Reading game. Exeter won 6-4.

I was probably at both, and have combined them, early on set .., my clearest memory is David Lowe warming up in front of me. Waving to his wife/partner close by, not sure which one that was.
Remember leaving thinking Kiwomya could be the best worst player I’ve seen, young, SO raw, but quick enough to give any player 3 yard start, and with coaching could be great.
