At half time the stats spoke for themselves. 68% possession, 12 shots though only one on target. I was thinking if we don’t score in this game it will be a travesty. Of course along then comes one of the worst halves I’ve ever seen us play and as usual it’s a goal all of our own making and as usual the players then give up immediately. There’s no resilience in this squad, we sold all of that. |
The resilience point I just don't get that.
These are professional footballers you just don't get to this level in the game without resilience in bucket loads.

No they didn't. They were very very ordinary first half, even their manager said so. We just had no idea how to create a clear cut opening. We then gifted three goals without them even having to work for it. |
You cant win with some people.
They defended well in the first half and almost scored. They defended well in the second half and scored three.
I would suggest that is a very good away performance.
