Ogbene on one side. Philogene on the other would have been amazing this season.

He wasn't exactly getting compliments for his Town appearances early in the season. Is now apparently shining in one of the division's bottom clubs (only just clawed their way out of the bottom three).

....the only thing the Bristol City fans were right about when it comes to Ashton.

They basically said that he gets over excited then given ay cash and that he wasn't to be trusted.

Ringing true at the moment, and not just in respect of Mcateer.

We built that promotion team/s on players in the 500k - 1m range and who had something to prove. We’ve shifted so so far away from that. On occasions it’s made sense - paying big money for young English players who we’ll likely make a profit on, Delap, Philogene, Clarke - but there are massive massive question marks on some of the other business.

Yes, 100% and perhaps more worryingly, the McAteer signing seems to be doubling down on last summers philosophy in many respects.

Nah. Otherwise we'd have added a recall once he proved he wouldn't.

Imo it's a financial reason. Saves a % on wages whilst KM was requesting we bringing in mcateer whilst ashton wanted egeli.

I'm a bit confused about this. Did McKenna negotiate and complete the one deal while Ashton did the other and then they realised they couldn't afford the deals so shipped out Ogbene? Is that how you believe it works?
