Alternatively it is fairly clear he has but chose to make lots of changes to rest players in a 3-match game week. Clearly first choice is: Palmer (Walton while he is out) Furlong O'Shea Kipre Davis Matusiwa Cajuste (possibly changing that to Taylor but we will see) Egeli Szmodics Philogene Hirst Of course, unavailabilities will mean alterations to that. Loss of form can lead to changes too (Kipre for Greaves is an example). Fans would be up in arms if players were undroppable!

Does he? I'd say the changes made today in both the starting line and substitutions worked pretty well.

Agree and disagree. The side that ended the game was very effective and the subs worked. But the turning point was the unplanned playing of Nunez in a hybrid 8/10 role, forced on KM by Sam and Akpom going off injured. Otherwise we would not have seen that.

That's fair enough. Though, I'd argue we looked a lot more solid with that starting XI and, Nunez aside, looked more likely to score than West Brom (without being uber creative).

Hard to compare starting 11 Vs finishing 11 as west brom seemed to be leaving lots of space in front of their back line for the last ten minutes. One thing is for sure - subs made an impact, and that's not been the case in previous seasons

And that's the thing - the 'squad' is ridiculous - our subs, in comparison to most other teams in this division, should 100% be making a difference. Good to see that today.

Yeah. Playing Taylor was a good call as was Kipre and both seemed to make us a bit more pragmatic. There was also evidence of an attempt to play out less and be direct which was very welcome. But I still maintain if Akpom stays on we either draw that game 0-0 or lose 1 or 2 nil and that's the luck KM has to learn from and run with.
