| Will Still sacked on 11:14 - Nov 3 by OldFart71 | The merry-go-round goes on. If we look at ourselves and how successful the club has been over the years we will no doubt deduce that despite having had a few fantastic managers in Sir Alf, Sir Bobby , George Burley and now Kieran McKenna it can also be said we have had quite a few who to be polite have been less than satisfactory, The success or lack of it cannot always be blamed on the manager although it's his responsibility to motivate the team, pick the team and suggest who the club recruits. But then he is also restricted by what the owner will allow him to purchase and as we saw with ME the first few managers were given adequate funds, but as time went on the funds got less and less and yet these people still expects a manager to deliver. So it's not always the manager who is at fault and sometimes players aren't always putting it all in for certain managers. |
Yes, although Southampton should be doing better with the squad they have. Still didn't come with much credit in the bank being a relative unknown so while it's harsh, not hard to see why he's got the bullet. | |
