| Pre-match pubs for Swansea? 21:03 - Nov 6 with 1314 views | Swansea_Blue | You’d think I’d be more helpful here, but I’m not often an away fan over this way. - If you’re coming via the train, the Grand Hotel next to the station is good. Home and away fans mix in there fine normally. 20-30 mins walk to the ground or number 4 bus to Morriston on opposite side of the road to the station. - In the City centre Wind Street is the main area, but it’s c. 30-40 min walk to the ground. Or leave early, walk up towards the Kingsway/Orchard Street to get the Number 4 bus. Bank Statement is a popular pun with loads of space. It’s a Spoons. There are plenty of other bars along here. Founders & Co. does a street food market thing, has a good bar and is pretty good. - A curve ball that won’t be on away fan guides is a little group of bars and restaurants easily accessible if coming by car from the east. You can park at Thomas Street Car Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/s4LEns5UrNpgS4By5?g_st=ipc and the there’s the River House (posh restaurant) but also do tapas in the bar, it’s a nice spot for a drink and bite. There’s a good Thai next door (Lotus) and The Shed Restaurant opposite is good too (it’s in an old restored grain warehouse next to the docks). It’s a c. 30 minute walk from this area up the riverside path to the ground. Nice if dry. It’s my usual route to the ground. - Near the ground, the Railway is great but very much a home pub, so best to avoid unless in ones or twos and ideally with someone local. Away shirts could be a problem. There’s no other pubs near the ground bar the Harvester that’s fine but gets busy nearer to match time. The Frankie and Bennies mentioned in some web searches has closed and is now a Costa. Food near the ground. Morrisons, Nando’s, KFC and Costa in Next (silly queues in Costa, avoid) in Morfa shopping park to the east of the ground. Match parking not allowed. Hiks fish and chip shop is superb ( https://hiks.co/) but not easy to get to for those coming from the east. There’s limited on street parking around here. | |

Yeah that’s an option. You’re best coming in from the north then, J45. I’ve not parked there so don’t know what it’s like. There’s not a lot between there and the ground. I’ve heard the Coopers Arms is ok for away fans, but I’m not sure.

Yeah seems the maps is taking me in that way anyway, not too fussed about a pub but may pop in for one or go to the aforementioned eateries near the ground.

| Pre-match pubs for Swansea? on 09:35 - Nov 7 with 683 views | soupytwist | A couple of seasons ago I parked on Beaufort Road and went for something to eat at Toi Aroi Thai which is about a 20 minute walk south from Beaufort Road past the stadium (but on the way to the stadium if coming from the city centre). Decent, well-priced food in a simple setting. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Y74g21BbFtEdGoN5A Edit to add - There's a pub pretty much opposite - Smiths Arms - which I would have thought was a home fans venue but a recent Google review from a Millwall fan suggests that it might not turn you away if you're pretty low-key.
