Thankful not to be a Boro supporter.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Shouldn't really blame Edwards, Wolves are a big club and of course one he's played for and probably has affinity for. Feels a bit snide though.

Clubs are quick enough to fire managers when it isn't working so they can't really expect loyalty the other way, but in fairness to Boro they've generally been sensible employers.

Feel for their fans.

Edwards loves the championship so much, he wants to join wolves, rather than be in the Premier league with Middlesbrough..ah ya that makes sense. Loll

Except that, as we saw last season, a little bit of turning round can go a long way with Wolves. Also, perhaps Boro's current position at the top end of the Champ is more precarious than we realise (only won two of the last eight).

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

They had Cunha and Ait-Nouri last season though.

Wolves are pants, they're going down.

Do make you right about Boro though, not sure how sustainable a top 2 push is but expect they'll be playoffs.

Championship table since 1st of September has Boro 14th.

We're 8th, but win the game in hand (that game in hand is doing some heavy lifting at the moment!) and we'd be 2nd.

As per the potato man's comment, Wolves are doomed this season though, nowhere near enough quality in the squad.

Maybe Rob Edwards is thinking long term strategy rather than just simply this season? If he has been given assurances that he’ll stay in post even if Wolves go down, given assurances on budgets, possibly he’ll think that Wolves will bounce straight back up and be in a much stronger position in two seasons time.

A lot of the rolling of the dice to happen and possibly alien to footballs here-and-now mindset.

If he were to leave for wolves then that will be rather damning of his assessment of Boros promotion prospects.

Good news for us, they’ve started well.

He’ll be sacked by Wolves before the end of the season I reckon.

Possibly if Wolves can stay in touch for the next couple of months (tho they do have a tough set of fixtures), then get a couple of decent hires in January, might be enough to claw their way to safety.

Anyway, if Edwards jumps, he obviously sees it as a better chance than Boro has (in the long term maybe, as MattinLondon suggests).

Having hijacked our January Hackney raid, oh well, we’ll get him when we swap with Wolves.
