The rise of the national team in the last couple of years is nothing short of sensational. I would love to see them double Italy this evening.

Incredible to think they have only ever qualified for three World Cups (excluding this one) and one Euro. Always have seemed to have a talented bunch of players but fell short compared to the likes of Greece, Scotland et al.

May be tough to keep them away from the majors from this point mind.

Great win that. I think the home nations sides might fancy Italy in the play offs, they don't look amazing and have form for bottling it in the play offs.
