Would love him to start banging them in now. It is a bit worrying seeing Dykes, Shankland, Adams all ahead of him. Love Hirsty and thought this was the season for him and it still can be. But he needs to go and make it happen now as we are looking to really kick on.
Hirst O'Shea McAteer Ogbene Taylor Szmodics Egeli Muric (although I don't think he'll be an Ipswich player by then) Burns outside chance, should Wales qualify and he find some form
Shame Chile didn't qualify.

Steve Clarke has reliably picked four strikers for his camps, which is a healthy number compared with say the England setup. Dykes and Adams consistently vying for that starting spot, they're a very safe bet for the plane providing they stay fit. Looks like Shankland has nudged ahead into third position, leaving Hirst on less steady ground if not a precipice. Threats behind him include Boro's Tommy Conway and Hibernian's Kieran Bowie.
Perhaps good news for us as he'll be hungrier than ever to do well, though hunger to do well has never been an issue really. Don't force it too much Hirsty!

I always thought Chile were a decent side. To not qualify from CONMEBOL considering there is practically a 70% chance of qualifying is pretty poor.
