I haven’t had sausage and mash in a spoons before,I do like the ‘small plates’ menu though 👍

Good choice, the sausage an mash or even the pie and mash ( if you ignore that cockney pie and mash nonsense) is an absolute classic choice.

The ploughman's is of course a Saxon classic but obviously not for this time of year.

Obviously roast beef with all the trimmings has to be mentioned, but personally I'm uncomfortable with eating Yorkshire puddings on a non Sunday. You have to have some rules or it's complete food anarchy.

You didn't mention how much you paid for it..

About a third what they pay for it in the smoke..

Is there a more versatile food than the potato? Should be celebrated.

Indeed and Wednesday for tea I did baked pots scoop all the pot out of the skin and mashed it up with Milk,butter,streaky bacon,onion and cheese.Pop them back in the oven and serve them with baked beans.
