We could, and should, be doing better 10:02 - Nov 30 with 1459 viewsPinewoodblue

Seems to be a view held by many, including me, however only one team in the Championship has conceded fewer goals and only two teams scored more.

Yet the criticism seems justified. We do giveaway too many silly goals and we certainly should have scored a lot more.

I don’t feel that KMc is above criticism. He does make too many changes from game to game, he persists with fartarseing about at the back. Walton seems to change his mind too many times as to who he is going to pass the ball to and too often puts the receiver under pressure.

We also seem to delay substitutions and often, as at Oxford, our opponents make the first changes.

While there really is no reason why we shouldn’t be promoted automatically KMc needs to review his approach.

Our big chances missed stats are eye-wateringly bad.

This is the important one for me, as I’ve said several times recently. We should be converting the majority of our big chances- and we’re nowhere close in so many games. On Friday it was ZERO %.

We’re creating enough big chances - that’s not the issue. If we can solve our lack of converting big chances, that’s all we need to do to push on to the top 2.

Indeed, we're the worst team in the Championship:

This is the main reason we've been top-6 for only three days this season. Complete bottlers in front of goal. I don't only blame Hirst/Azon, as our #10s and others have been wasteful too.

I have only just spotted that Coventry have 50 goals already (from 18 matches). And yet the narrative is that it is an easy division this year rather than Coventry being exceptionally good.

EDIT: Only 5 teams in the division have scored in total more goals than Coventry have scored either at home or away (both 25). That's ridiculous stats for them.
