| Here’s a novel idea for today… 05:03 - Dec 6 with 512 views | EricsGate | Play a left footed 10 on the left and a right footed 10 on the right!! Then provide some early crosses into the box with the central 10 getting a lot closer to the 9. Stop the inverted, boring and slow cutting back inside then crossing crap where defenders have set themselves ready for an easy clearance. | |

We’ve got the players to do this which is the most frustrating part. I hope we start to see the wide men drive into space / byline more, rather than always cutting in and slowing the play.

Out-moded terminology (numbers haven't been associated with positions for decades, barring, to an extent, 1 and 9) being bent all over the place to fit modern playing patterns. Indeed the even older descriptors - winger, inside-forward - are actually more suitable.

| Here’s a novel idea for today… on 10:50 - Dec 6 with 134 views | Metal_Hacker | We haven’t the players to do it (Wes Burns-esque) but I’ve banged on about it for ages Right side player with pace and likewise on the left ….so much harder to defend against IMHO and more of a threat as opposed to current idea which is predictable at best. At least change it up a bit Beat a man , get to the byline and then have to come back inside to get it on your favoured foot ….doesn’t work every time. Predictable and easy to defend | |
