We still don’t look like we know what we are doing or what we are playing. Too many’s players are static or standing 4 yards from the player with the ball and no opposition in sight, to then get passed too. What’s the point of this ? Why are we releasing balls before drawing and opponent to the ball? It’s not making much sense a lot of our plays or patterns ? Clarke got ripped apart yesterday but when you look at it he by far created our best chances and got into the best positions. His finishing was bad and constantly made the wrong decision but was out of position and against seasoned players . Hirst was running around in circles and our midfield completely lost to better players on the day. Our experimenting with a 10 and the Players at our disposal or playing players in ineffective positions they are not used too it good at is what’s killing us. We used to be a team that played to our strengths and a team of lesser capable players but playing in positions they were familiar with and with team mates that knew what they were going to do - now we just have a team of individuals and it’s showing against better drilled teams. No idea or game Plan or if there is one it’s quickly going out of the window when players are bullying or pressing them . We need to rethink Hirst playing apart from against deep laying more interior teams as he didn’t touch the ball more than 10 times in the whole 90 minutes and isn’t clinical enough to have on the field for that one random opportunity. We don’t actually have any one better which is massive downer. Our 10’s are in effective or don’t seem clever enough or good enough to spin the defender or have the touch for a quick one -two - the only player close to Chaplin or who looks clever enough and not greedy is Egelli so would really like To see him tried there . Right wing we need players as good as our left two as at the moment teams are not bothered about us playing down the right due to how In effective we are. Burns or ogbenes pace is needed and ideally a pacey striker. We are are not far from a good team but missing that 2-3 players that can really push through on the right and centre. Not getting a player like Hackney was telling and is exactly what we need also. I’m not too dissappointed in the losing in the day as don’t think the team is actually is good was what it should be with the money spent on it but don’t think we are too far away from having and amazing team once we have the 2-3 players that are needed for the final puzzle. Were they perhaps off versus Stoke on Wednesday evening? No, yesterday wasn’t a million miles away from those performances, we were punished however and should have done much better defensively with at least Two of the Three goals. Not sure dynamics have anything to do with it, it’s about being quicker, stronger and more mentally aware.

I believe there is an issue with team dynamics ( or whatever you want to call it ) which were glossed over by those two excellent wins. While we appeared to be in control during the game against Stoke, I ( and the supporters ) were pretty anxious coming to the last 10 minutes. It's all a bit fragile and at times tentative and no one seems able to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Nice players mostly playing nice football. I'd sooner our players had more dog in them than skill and we definitely need such a player in the centre of the park to assist the excellent Matusiwa.
