Looking for any wise words on rest/treatment for a minor knee injury.
I twisted my knee a couple of weeks back - pretty minor but I think it's left a bit of instability now it's settled down. I seem to be left with an occasional sharp (but pretty mild) pain fairly deep in what appears to be the medial patella retinaculum tendon.
Any advice on massage, compression, rest, NSAIDs etc.?
Wanna ride hard, play tennis and play footie next week
My advice based on my fairly extensive history of knee injuries - see a specialist physio and get proper advice . . . self diagnosis can be misleading based on where you think the pain is vs where the actual damage is.

I do appreciate and understand the advice, but I'm happy that it's a run of the mill minor injury for someone who does a fair bit of athletic exercise, and you can't go off to an expert with every single little injury.
I was just wondering if anyone had any fairly basic advice on how to aid recovery in that specific region.

On the flipside, making it worse could have longer term implications
