Would you re-sign Sam Morsy in the January window?? on 17:07 - Dec 18 by Roburmsyenna
what salty comments??
so we wouldn't be able to sign him?? how on earth does that make it Football Manager??, hes free, knows the squad, the manager didn't want to lose him in the summer, knows the club, yep sounds well out of our reach.
Get the whole upset the leadership team etc, but I'm sure he's well respected and they are professional enough.
I don't think it will happen, but is nowhere near beyond the realms of possibility despite the crap you're coming out with.
I'm sure we could sign him but it'd be a bad idea for the reasons I outlined.

I couldn't think of a bigger backwards step - it'd be a massive undermining of the manager
I don't think it would. Don't think for one minute we would, but I think he would be exactly the right kind of signing for us at this present time. We wouldn't have done what we have recently if it wasn't for him, so can't see any reason why we couldn't bring him back. Like I say, it ain't going to happen, which I think is a shame.

You can’t see any reason, well how about
1. He hasn’t played for several months, how long to get match fit, and make a real impact. 2. His isn’t the player he was 2 years ago, let alone the player that struggled in the PL 3. If he was going to be a serious option for us, we would have given him what he wanted, 4. If he wanted to be here, he’d have accepted his revised role and not pushed for a move. 5. At 34, he’s the past not the future.
None of which is intended to disrespect him or his outstanding achievements here, they stand amongst the best we’ve had for at least a couple of decades. Coming back would, however, be a major mistake for all concerned.
