Definitely a better player than Moray, at the same age Morsy had a smattering of second tier appearances but had mostly been buzzing around the third and fourth tier, whereas Matusiwa looks class at this level and has largely played top flight football in the Netherlands and France so far in his career. Morsy was great for us but you can see the difference in pedigree, imo. |
I’m not sure the level you are playing at is such an indicator, if so Davis Gregory was playing at a higher level than Jamie Vardy at 25 year of age.
Morsy got one goal and 7;assists in 23/24, Azor has 1 assist so far, which would say offensively Sam was superior, but to the eye Matusiwa far better at winning the ball and covering |  |

His reading of the game and general football intelligence doesn’t get spoken about enough. He always seems to know where the loose ball is going to be and get to it first. Also drops back and helps out at the back when teams break.

Yes, reading and intelligence leading to superb positioning are right at the top of his attributes - 10/10 certainly at this level and very well capable of doing it at the level above. He also has this uncanny ability to make a standing tackle and come away with the ball when it looks like the opponent is in full control. Absolutely fantastic signing. |  |

Sorry, who are you?
I’m experiencing this weird phenomenon on here, where any time I come on to post over a couple of days I’m told things like- I’m part of a gang or I do X, Y, Z all the time or I’m ‘consistently’ X or Y 😂
I come on here once a month or so, chat about the football, take the p1ss when people say daft things, block some goons so my next visit is that little bit better and then just go about my life.
Many years ago I was a rabid poster on here and chronically online, I don’t have space for that anymore and it’s been a considerable length of time since I was a regular on here.
It’s flattering to know I made such an impact that my presence was lasting in the memory, but things have changed significantly in the half decade or so since I posted on here on the daily…
I’m sorry my joke caused offence, but seemed a bit weird that you were questioning the need to compare the two when such comparisons are a key part of football discourse.
