| Intersting bit on Birmingham in the Telegraph 14:57 - Dec 31 with 1033 views | Illinoisblue | Intrigued as to how performance indicators can indicate anything BEFORE a season has started. Brady and Birmingham rely heavily on data and analytics, and before the season started the team’s finish was projected as in the top-six based on various performance indicators. Wagner outlined the intention of reaching the Premier League within three years in 2023, so does that remain the case? “Our expectations are the same. We may have to adjust the path from time to time but I think that’s BS to lower our bar,” he says. | |

| Intersting bit on Birmingham in the Telegraph on 15:09 - Dec 31 with 922 views | WestSussexBlue | Seems they were aiming for the stars and so far have reached Walsall. I can’t put my finger on it, but I just find them as a club lately really irritating. Perhaps it was the almost arrogant attitude pre season that bombing straight through the championship was almost a given. “Ipswich did it so we will too”, I Will not be too disappointed if they finish below 10th. My only concern is that they sack the manager pretty soon and end up gatecrashing the play offs. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 19:48]

they and their fans are extremely arrogant, yeah. It's that hollywood swagger with nothing much behind it, seems to be about looks rather than meaning - image and surface. Which extends to the new Heatherwick Studio design for the stadium (which will never get built like the renders) - big flashy images to grab headlines but ultimately not a lot there.

It’ll be very interesting to see how much struggles on the pitch impact their grand plans. A 60k stadium isn’t going to be filled by being a mid-tier championship club. Beyond glad our owners stay largely in the background and there’s little to no hype around us. Just KM quietly and calmly working his magic.
