Seems they were aiming for the stars and so far have reached Walsall. I can’t put my finger on it, but I just find them as a club lately really irritating. Perhaps it was the almost arrogant attitude pre season that bombing straight through the championship was almost a given.
“Ipswich did it so we will too”, I Will not be too disappointed if they finish below 10th. My only concern is that they sack the manager pretty soon and end up gatecrashing the play offs. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 19:48]

they and their fans are extremely arrogant, yeah. It's that hollywood swagger with nothing much behind it, seems to be about looks rather than meaning - image and surface.
Which extends to the new Heatherwick Studio design for the stadium (which will never get built like the renders) - big flashy images to grab headlines but ultimately not a lot there. |  | | |

It’ll be very interesting to see how much struggles on the pitch impact their grand plans. A 60k stadium isn’t going to be filled by being a mid-tier championship club.
