Quick update on progress

A huge day of walking on Monday 13th, kept going way beyond dusk and into the night. Reached his destination of High Wycombe

However, there was rain damage to his phone, so part of yesterday... Tuesday 14th, was spent sorting that out and as a consequence the milage was not as great.

Milage....comfortably passed the halfway mark

Sponsorship.... just a whisker away from the halfway mark

Amusing videos..... not quite as plentiful, but still enough to showcase his determination and good humour.

Today, Thursday 15th, he left his digs before dawn in order to make some miles

You just have to admire the fella, such character, such spirit

Please donate if you have a few spare quids

He's doing brilliantly and taking all the bad weather and hills with good humour. Very proud of James and indeed all our South West gang.

Latest update

Thurday 15th was a good day, 19.7 miles

Today, Friday 16th, another good day at 17.9 miles

James is currently in Hatfield and headed towards Bishop's Stortford tomorrow

I think he is in a bit of pain in his ankle from what I can surmise, but in good spirits and absolutely determined to press on to Portman Road

Sponsorship is just shy of 70%, £1620 of the £2400 target

Please donate here to help James on the last bit of his epic journey

Latest update

James is now in Braintree, hopefully about to tuck into a big roast dinner in the White Hart if anyone fancies meeting him

Day 9, Saturday 17th was a full day, 22.3 miles covered

Today, Sunday 18th was slightly less far, 16.7 miles

Sponsorship is just a shade under three quarters of target... with 2 days left to go.

Keep on going James, the end is within your grasp

Amazing work!
Donated

Give him a ball and a yard of grass
Poll: How many times have you looked at the table since full time yesterday?

Do you think he could do a pitch side walk at half time with a donation bucket to boost it? Seeing as it's for the foundation I reckon ITFC would be up for it.
That's if he fancies walking after this?

Very good suggestion.....

I'll ping him a message, see what he thinks.

Maybe he could do a slow lap on the stretcher buggy

Do we have a stretcher buggy?

Penultimate update

Today, Jan 19th, James covered a whisker under 22 miles

He's staying on the Ipswich side of Colchester, leaving himself a very doable 16 miles through Dedham Vale tomorrow

Sponsorship stands at £1984, which is 83% of the target of £2400

I believe there might be some kind of reception tomorrow evening at Portman Road and possibly the chance to donate

Fair Play James, sterling effort.... a long trek in January rain.

James is reporting about the welcome he has received from the club..... they are treating him like royalty

Freebies from the club shop, a walk out onto the pitch through the tunnel, lunch with Jason Dozzell in the new hospitality area and a seat in the 3 Lions Directors box to watch tonight's game

James says he is hoping to be in the fanzone pre-match, rattling a donation bucket

That’s great. I’m pleased he’s being looked after. Rightly so. Well done to him.

I hope he’s able to add to the total and meet his target. Sadly I won’t be able to go tonight, but I have bunged a few pennies in the Gofundme page.
