That is shocking. That's 3 they've got badly wrong now.

It's the DRS tbf rather than the Aussies

Poll: Would you support the club introducing safe standing in the North/Churchmans

He knew he hit it, but didn't walk.

Yes the drs rules are interpreted differently by all. Very much like video ref.

Lol, it's a moral wicket!

Broadly speaking.

Wouldn’t matter if we could just occasionally actually catch a ball …

BBC TV said on Tuesday that England don’t have a specialist fielding coach - is that true? unbelievable Geoff, if so.

Poll: Town's most cultured left foot ever?

I think there is a lot of potential in this England side. Blissfully unlucky at times and yes it would help if we took all the catches.

Interesting what Jason Gillespie said on Comms "England practice more doing kick ups than they did in cricketing skills". Recipe for disaster.

There's so much wrong with the way they conducted themselves

No practice match in Perth
No practice match in day/night conditions
No fielding coach
No wicketkeeper
No spinner deemed worth picking

But they did manage to
Get on the p1ss in Noosa
Gaslight the world that all was good (*prepared too much)
Dismiss critics as "has beens"

Tbh, the tour looks like an utter shambles and if those in positions at the top stay there, it's beyond parody.

"I know we've lost the series, but we're still living our dream."

Harry Brook's comment from just three days ago says a lot. He's vice captain and one of the most gifted batsmen in the game.

He potentially has the world at his feet but his on and off field behaviour in New Zealand and Australia have been hugely disappointing.

I think I'm getting old as I don't have too much of an issue with them going on the lash in Noosa and enjoying themselves as long as they do the hards yards on the practice pitch. Which they don't seem to have done. I bet they are having the times of their lives. Perhaps we should have put an additional couple of weeks or so on the tour and like you say have more practice and stuff.

But I don't think we have been too far off the weakened Aussie team. Don't get me started on snicko and the errors with that. They can and will be fixed and the world we be a better place. Quite a few positives from the tour too. It's not all doom and gloom in my eyes.

Harry was made vice-captain, one day captain too early. Just seems a bit immature to me. Does not have the maturity/knowledge to instinctively know what shots work for one day and what works for test matches and also not blindly follow the dictat of McCullum. Really needs to sit down, analyse and re-set.

Yes its true, its also true I believe Baz said in response when queried on it that teams with fielding coaches also drop catches...

Fwiw i think people are misunderstanding snicko, including the commentators, its a bit like football pundits and offsides. you arent looking for just any sound to show up in line with the bat, your looking for a sharp spike, as just a sound could be anything from the bat hitting the pads, players foot movement in the batting stroke, I remember one time I think the straps of the pads broke as the player kind of flexed their calf as they played a shot.

And we saw i think Starcs 1st or 2nd new ball to Bethell a similar close to edge visual and a similar sound trace.

That was given not out, even though Bethell did that classic tell of looking behind instantly, but Australia chose not to review with only 1 review left and Starc said he couldn't hear it.

But was that out ? That's the issue you cant complain about just the ones that seem to go against England, you've got to take all of them into consideration and clearly not alot of people are doing that.

Fwiw i dont understand why hotspot wasn't used as well this tour, snicko itself probably isnt good enough for these feather touch hits.

But no player should ever walk, Australians, apart from Gilchrist and Ponting, never did, neither do the England players of the modern era.

Its down to the umpires to decide they give you out or not out, you carry on playing the game. Stokes appears to believe that a bit of needle/aggressiveness gets the Aussie players out of their bubble and so uses it as a tactic whenever he can.

Its largely to make up for the fact we cant take enough wickets just by bowling in the right areas, and actually catching the ball occasionally
