This is a good bunch of players with real talent, who can be a joy to watch.
Our manager has steadied us after relegation got us in a strong position ahead of the final stretch. Whilst the other parachutes falter.
The league has dug deep, and gone deep against us. We’ve been patient as a team. And the results are coming. We’ll get automatic by being pragmatic, whilst building energy and momentum.
But the players need to now go up a gear, increase the speed of transition whilst remaining robust.
We’ve got two strong rivals, and contenders on the rise, it’s a battle to be savoured.
But our support has been woeful, it’s time to not spectate but participate. It’s time to back the players and celebrate our manager, and the upwards transition the club is in. Not leave as soon as the final whistle goes, clap them off, show support.
Yes 12.30 is not ideal, but we’ve got two home games, we need to keep the pressure up on Boro and Coventry. Let’s bring the noise, be the 12th man, encourage not groan.

McKenna was good in the presser, interviewer wanting him to say that fans need to stay off the players backs when building from the back. But he just explained the rationale for that approach, especially against teams like Blackburn who want some chaos.
And as he rightly says we still benchmark highly in terms of entertainment which is fair.
And in his interview he states again the players need to do their part to get the atmosphere going. But as Phil discussed with him, fans have to put their game face on, and they’ve done it in 12.30 kick offs before so why not tomorrow?
Isn’t it interesting Sitters that so many moan about an individual players performance this season, Hirst getting brick bats for example. But as the 12th man there is no reflection on not turning up themselves and backing. Boro fans were superb tonight and fired them to a dominant display for 70mins, Baggies fans then did their part after the 1st goal to bring their team up a gear and close to a result.
Confidence is key and fans play their part.
If the PR and away crowd doesn’t improve, and we miss out on autos by a small margin, we’ll be kicking ourselves and be culpable.

I agree, everything today on paper conspires against what should be a 'routine' victory.
Blackburn have beaten us twice bar the last minute of the second game
Early kick offs are awful for atmosphere
On SKY where we generally don't do well against the teams we should beat
Most of our first team haven't played for 16 days so could get caught out early on or take a while to get going
Not even looked at who the ref is but no doubt one we've had issues with
I think today is a case of getting 3 points any which way, performance etc goes out the window, we need to cheer the boys in blue and suck that ball into the net. |  |
