More punditry than playing this season.

I’m sure he’s had a big influence about the place, but it’d be interesting to be a fly on the wall when the club assess the outlay on him and his boy. I realise he’s injured, but he’d have been on the TV anyway I’m sure. Hard to see him being here next year or anything.

On a player’s day off , injured or not , are they not allowed a side hustle ?

He’s obviously in the twilight of his career and I’d probably expect conversations to have been had with our top brass out of politeness more than anything

I see nothing wrong with it but I’m open to other thoughts as ever

I'm with you.
Nothing to see here.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

Do you mean to imply that the son's being employed as a favour to the dad?

I presumed when he signed that this would be his last playing season. No mystic meg there as it was a 1 year deal for a 40 year old aha. I thought he'd play more when first signed but not after the Furlong deal. Was that always planned or a response to Young's legs in preseason? No clear answer from afar imo because McKenna's often favoured an old head in the building, see veterans Keogh and Aluko, while our glut of RBs may have had more to do with resolving Johnson or Clarke's situation.

Why is it hard to see him here next year. He's on a 1yr contract and he's already said he's retiring at the end of the season.

Attached the scapegoat for you.

He has stated that he is not interested in going into coaching or management so maybe and it is a long shot here, he is looking to move into TV / radio when he eventually retires from playing. Just a thought mind.

Eh? What an odd thing to raise.

Absolutely no issue with him been on the box, punditry, analysis, players do it all the time - and they do with the clubs blessing, including Ashley Young.

The issue for me is the wage output for return - only KMc will know that benefit, onfield it’s been minimal.
