| I’ll reserve judgment on the ‘failure’ to sign a striker… 19:31 - Feb 2 with 968 views | SitfcB | …come the end of the season. But even then, if we weren’t to go up it wouldn’t be down to that anyway. Of course there’s going to be a few heads rolling around tonight but a positive result tomorrow and it’ll be forgotten. Plenty of football still to be played. Oh and we’re still the second highest scorers in the league Big month coming up. COYB! | |

Bit of a stumble over the last 7 days but whatever the vocal minority says there is a bit of steel in this team and with (hopefully) Jaden and Nunez back over the next few weeks its still an exciting challenge. Lets hope we get back to it tomorrow and Saturday and dont give the grumbling a chance to become fully toxic again

I think that it’s ludicrous that the club are going into the ‘business end’ of the season with Hirst and Azon but it is what it is. As you mentioned, a big month and then some more of football which will hopefully cement the club in the top two.

His trajectory gives me most hope for sustained improvement in the no 9 position for the rest of the season. I can only feel he gets in the positions to score so often that he could go on a streak 🙏

Let’s hope that one of them doesn’t get injured otherwise we really are struggling

I'm with you on this. Ludicrous that we've gone into a fourth consecutive window clearly wanting at least one more No9 than we have, and have failed to get anyone in. But it is what it is, can't be changed now, and we'll see how the next four months pan out.

I haven’t, but I’m not the manager on a huge salary. He achieves automatic promotion or it’s a failure. Over to Kieran.

Apkom and Sammi would be pushed up if we lost hirst or azon, | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Well it seems we pursued Bamford, Surridge and Piroe - so its not like KMc said no to everyone. How far down the list do we go before it becomes a panic last minute signing? We (like 100's of other sides) will be looking at strikers in the Summer, we have a requirement of what we want from a striker which will be different then from now and what it was last summer. As many have said, I dont think no.9 is the key position in the way we play and of course if we do find a prolific number 9 chances are he will be gone in 1 or 2 windows time (see Delap). As it is, for all the wailing I am encouraged how we are looking to restock our academy, which we all know was horrifically neglected and resulted in the need to throw 8 figures at players in the hope of playing catch up. It would be nice to have an organic line coming through in 2 or 3 seasons time
