Has something got lost in communication somewhere between Kieran and Ashton?

Did Kieran once mention that he really likes a good winger, and Ashton has run with it? In much the same way as when you casually mention to your nan, when you're six, that you really like penguins, and have to endure penguin-related Christmas and birthday presents for the rest of her life?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

As i said the other day about why egeli looks like an ashton signing, this millwall fella IF true about the bid... imo would have been another one.

By pushing technical talents wide, they rack up numbers that directly correlate to higher CIES Football Observatory valuations.

Targeting "Untapped" Potential: The club deliberately buys young, versatile players and develops them in roles that showcase their attacking flair, aiming to sell them for a significant profit later.

It was a discussion piece about chelsea where they seemed to overload the squad with wingers, even turning 10's into them to increase their value.

What numbers is Egeli racking up other than minutes? He doesn’t do anything and doesn’t look like he’s got anything special or unique about him.

I wouldn’t trust Ashton with another penny.

That's an interesting insight - I didn't see your previous comment.

It would certainly offer a degree of explanation as to why we signed Szmodics (who'd just had a top-scoring season in the 10 role) and immediately proceeded to play him on the wing.

With the medium/long-term aims of the club and the ownership group, would the focus on the wings be with a view to trying to get big transfer fees, or to increase the balance sheet value with respect to a future sale?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Yay, the Bristol City moron’s line! Four and a half years on. You are clearly convinced and have now come out with this. I preferred new Frimley but you seem to have reverted to old Frimley- you know, the one that said Burgess should be free transferred out of the club before the first game of 2023 because he was rubbish.

But you are not alone. We now have somebody saying they wouldn’t want to trust Ashton with another penny. Who would they trust? Oh, I know maybe darkhorse.

People are now after Ashton. Get the crayons out, form protests and give him a dose of the old McCarthys. Might work and hey, you and they might scare off the investors too!! There are clubs out there with far greater potential than this.

That’d be good because we could all settle back to the little club, praising the new paint on the new turnstiles and enjoying Douglas, and Polish Pete. Everyone was happy then.

Unsure, but at the end of December, based on the CIES football observatory values, they had Egeli down at up to 40 mill euros in value

Church we;ve had this chat, it's not the bristol line, im not and referring to bristol in our exchanges

You seem to be taking offense to this, im unsure why, as i've repeated, it;s not a negative. It's worked for chelsea and one of the reasons they're financially one of the best run sides with a revolving door of players, it's a different set up to say a brentford one perhaps, and others, there are different set ups.

I'm unsure why you're bringing up Burgess, yes I didnt see him as a champ player, he turned out to be one of the better ones, I wasn't alone in that thought.

You mention new frimley, but can I say I don;t like this new churchman, you were one who could have lovely discussions about anything town related, but you've become lately at least incredibly angry in your posting.

I don;t know how else to explain the CIES stuff without you seeing it for some reason as ashton bashing. It his job to look after player trading and ensure it gets the club as much money as possible.

Is that the same Chelsea who were subject to a transfer embargo not so long ago because of financial irregularities?

Unsure tbh if we can say it's not credible when its used throughout football by most if not all clubs. I won;t claim to be an expert, in fact I know nothing about it other than what was discussed on tele about it all.

I think the future potential is of 40 million plus, and that's what a lot of fees are about.

We're not making the most of his attributes yet, but at some point i think we will and it would then start to make sense.
