Only 6 more points! Seems like we did much better that season.

Probably because there was nowhere near so much negative noise as there is this season.

Regular posters, pages on Fscebook, Twitter/X actively slagging off the club at every opportunity.

As much as you can try to block out the idiots, they are everywhere and it makes it hard to appreciate that we are having a good season.

That season we came from behind to win matches but there was also a lot of negativity through January as many felt we had blown our chances of automatics.

This season we have controlled matches much more but when we have fallen behind the oppositions have proven quite tricky to break down.

Every turnaround win feels like a bigger win than one where you have never been behind in the match. We have played some really good football at times but haven't taken as many of our chances as we seemed to that season. But we are tighter at the back too.

Spot on.

This season has been embarrassing in terms of a lot of supporter reaction.

Easily one of the best seasons so far of last 20 odd years.

We have never had it so good!

Totally agree. We are a lot more controlled and calm. We're more Prem ready no doubt about it.

Absolutely this.

My post was attempting irony, gently poking fun at the grumbles who seem to present the manager and team as a massive downgrade on the promo season.

You should watch Life’s a pitch on YouTube as Mark Murphy is the biggest moaner of the lot . He was complaining a couple of weeks ago that the Bristol City match was boring when we brilliantly controlled the whole game.

Yep. Bristol City in our promotion season.

0-1
1-1
1-2
2-2
Missed a penalty
Last minute winner from Davis to win 3-2.

This season 2-0. Result never in doubt. Controlled the game. Brilliant game management.

Which game will we remember?

I said the day we were promoted that we will never feel like this again. And we won’t. Expectations are so high now.
