I grew up in the final decade of their embarrassment of riches … although I do remember Greavsie ribbing the Saint about the quality of their keepers.

Since anyone other than the Old Firm have won the SPL, there have been 9 different winners of the English top flight, 5 different La Liga champions, 7 different Bundesliga winners and 10 different champions of Ligue 1. We could have our third different Premier League champions in as many seasons this year.
The SPL is extremely predictable to the point of boredom and like many leagues of it's size will only get worse as the top teams in those leagues benefit from Champions League riches, leaving the rest behind. [Post edited 15 Feb 19:50]
