Watching the Olympics last night, followed by Gladiators, stirred a memory: didn't there used to be some sort of 'Gladiators on Ice' back in the late 1990s?
Some Googling revealed 'Ice Warriors':
Does anyone else remember this? Was it considered decent at the time, or was it strange, hammy, and somewhat baffling even by 90s gameshow standards?
I had no recollection of it at all until a quick peek at the videos … it looks like it was programmed to air at the same time as the Nagano Japan 98 Winter Olympics .. the production effort seemed expensive and expansive .. but there was a glut of this stuff very late 90’s .. I think we felt it was naff at the time like most ITV particularly saturday night stuff but just accepted and didn’t watch it .
