Hopefully I'm preaching to the choir but, if not, a quick heads-up:

If you're paying full whack for the service, remember to log on and go through the cancellation process.

You have to take it right to the end, but I just managed to get 50% off for the next six months.

Always seems to work, so do it today, and then set a reminder to rinse and repeat in six months' time.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Didn't work for me this time. I too am well practised at the cancellation bluff, but they called it and I left.

That does happen, but if you are still opted in for emails, they do offer up some good deals a little while later. Recently was given the option of Sports for under £20 pm, another for the Cinema package at under £3 pm

Hopefully there'll be some sort of discount offered by email as you get closer to the cut-off date.

Let us know how you get on.

You literally just saved me £15. They dropped the Sports from £35 to £20 for 6 months. Had forgotten about it completely. And it was due to renew tomorrow!

Thanks Mark - I'll give that a try. I hasn't considered that it might work on the same principle!

I cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to price hike, and they didn't offer me a deal, but just received an email asking me to come back for £21.99 a month. So I will, probably.

And also set a reminder for when the contract is ending (6 months normally) and rinse and repeat (otherwise you'll get charged the full rate for a month before you cancel)
