| So.. open question. 00:43 - Mar 11 with 593 views | FrimleyBlue | Two very awful first halves recently. Whats the cause? Teams suprising us with how theyve set up? Players not doing what theyve been chosen to do Player nervous? | |

| So.. open question. on 00:54 - Mar 11 with 561 views | Illinoisblue | Mentality? Work rate? Stoke pressed the s5it out of us which led to their first goal. For all the talk of our form being the best over 20 games or whatever it still doesn’t feel quite right. Also very obvious tonight how much we miss Nunez. Philogene too is badly missed, especially when Jack Clarke had the worst 45 mins in the first half. How many times did he give the ball away? | |

Players such as Akpom and Cajuste probably aren’t a bundle of joy at the training ground. If so, don’t blame them, we’re all human after all. Boy why the fk does it feel like we’re battling relegation?! | |

| So.. open question. on 09:14 - Mar 11 with 225 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | We are an odd team in so much as we have a really good defensive record and a really good goalscoring record but manage to look really fragile and toothless for vast periods of games. Yesterday was 2 disaster goals. The first one Azon is fouled but he needs to get up and work back instead of throwing his arms about for a foul that isn't coming. Kipre then ends up on his @rse, been far from impressed with him recently. O'Shea has really stepped up (minus Wrexham) and Kipre has seemingly gone backwards. Big chance for Greaves to stake a claim now. I don't think it is indicative of the whole season, so hopefully just a blip but cant let it continue because playing like that vs Stokes B team in the first half is unacceptable. | |

| So.. open question. on 09:22 - Mar 11 with 217 views | Wright1 | There is an element of us being perceived as this super team that means teams work their nuts off and set up to nullify us. That makes the early part of the game difficult for us but is hard for the opposition to sustain over 90 minutes with the level or running and concentration needed - which is why we often grow in to games, especially when quality most teams can't match comes off the bench. Where we don't help ourselves is our own concentration and giving away sloppy goals like Taylor did last night as an example makes a tricky proposition even tougher. I do think there has been some failures in recruitment in hindsight that would have allowed us to attack the predictable low blocks we face most weeks: - We got the 10 position wrong. We needed creativity instead of the Akpom profile We ended up with. So we either needed 2 creative 10s or 1 and a passing centre midfielder to allow Nunez to play higher up from the off. I imagine our points tally looks a lot healthier with Nunez and Mehmeti playing in the 10 from the start of the season. - Jack Taylor has been a revelation really and played way beyond what I personally thought he was capable of... however, I don't think his profile was what this team needed and it is a failure from the club that he's played so many minutes. The goal he gave away last night was a prime example - we needed someone who offers what Matusiwa can't, comfortable getting the ball on the half turn, get us progressing up the pitch and help us control games. Realistically that was Hackney. The Cajuste signing just hasn't worked and Neil looks like he'll need most of his time here to get fully up to speed. There are other issues but these are the ones that contribute to what you are asking in my opinion. | | | |
| So.. open question. on 09:39 - Mar 11 with 175 views | OldFart71 | Resilients of the team. Intermittent mistakes and not taking chances. Only one striker in Hirst capable of scoring and that has only been in the last few games. Too much pressure on a player like Matisuwa to perform game after game with Neil his back up not being as good as expected or perhaps not up to speed. Philogene out for over a month and Nunez in and out due to injury of late. I really have no idea how Gamechanger and co will view the running of the club if we don't get promotion. I am fearful given our April congestion list of games that if we are to be in the playoffs we are fresh enough. Several of the players like Azon, Akpom,Neil and Cajuste will all realise that they are unlikely to be with us next season if not promoted and we may lose the likes of Philogene, Matisuwa and Egeli if clubs come in for them. Which would start us off next season having to replace half the team again. Then there's the question of KM. Gradually any credit he has in the bank is ebbing away and questions might be asked about recruitment and style of play. Like last night where we have a distinct lack of being able to see a game out or even start well against a team that was apparently short of options. | | | |
| So.. open question. on 09:47 - Mar 11 with 150 views | BseaBlue | I still think that Midfield is a big issue. As pointed out above, Stoke closed us down high and made it difficult for us to beat the press. That is where we needed a real ball player in there (the Louza type) to take it off the backline and get us playing. It also helps slow and calm the game down. That isn't Matusiwa's game and Taylor had a mare of a first half. I was really hoping it was going to be Dan Neil (and it still might be) but he was quite poor in the two previous games. | | | |
| So.. open question. on 09:55 - Mar 11 with 122 views | CopfordBlue | It’s because we’re not a great team. We are an above average championship team, no more and no less. Transfer fees, wages and reputations don’t get you any points. It’s often quoted how the teams at the bottom can beat the teams at the top in the championship and that’s what we’re seeing. We’re a bit better than Wrexham, Stoke, Leicester etc when our best players are fit and on top of their game at the same time for 90 minutes . At our very best, we’re probably the best team in the league as evidenced by the wins against Coventry, particularly the away win. The issue is that we’ve only hits those heights a few times. We’re “Spursy”. | |
