Completely agree. Clarke was dominating the game on the left hand side. It made absolutely no sense to shoe-horn Philogene on for the sake of it. If anything, he should've been made to play on the right due to how well Clarke was playing. We lost all attacking impetus after that change |  |

Just a nonsense, hindsight argument. Clarke scored one goal from countless openings and opportunities and typically Philogene is more efficient. McKenna has made these type of subs for four years and the freshness and impetus usually works in our favour. It didn't today. That happens. It doesn't ALWAYS have to be black and white. |  | | |

I think Clarke switching sides was an error. It should have been Philogene for Clarke or the two wingers being given longer. I think Azon had tired himself out but Hirst didn't have the desired impact. Taylor for Neil and Akpom for Mehmeti made sense but didn't work out. | |
