Not sure I'm the target audience but thought I'd tune in. Thought it started ok. The "advert" for moisturiser made me laugh but otherwise I'm disappointed!

Anyone else tuned in?

Nope. I think the viewing figures were 1 person.

Sorry, I couldn't resist! But I didn't tune in. I similarly doubt I am the target audience.

I'm a glutton for punishment as still watching. The news segment had its moments and reminded me of "Not the 9 o'Clock News!" - yes I'm that old.

Ahhh if you’re indeed of that age does it have the grime and edginess of say the tube or the word ? … or is it horribly hygienic and sucked of any vibrancy ? I mean i do enjoy SNL ( not all of it) but over the last 50 years it’s built up a lot of wiggle room and good will but regardless of the politics it managed as a network(terrestrial) show to get away with loads cleverly which made it even more interesting.
I’ve got this horrible feeling even being a Cable (sky) produced production it’s going to be a very drama school lefty 21st century offle that’s going to go out of its way to not offend anyone in case they are offended on behalf of the offendee.
I’d say give us spitting image which sprayed everybody .. but they did and that died a death on its return .

Is satire dead … when real life is so bizarre.

I didn’t watch it but if its intention is to mirror the US SNL then I don’t think it’s supposed to be funny.

It had it's moments of pushing boundaries - not enough as they were the parts that made me smile.
