I know the FA Cup quarter-finals are being played over the Easter weekend, but I didn't realise there are no PL fixtures.
That really is cr*p - another nail in the coffin for English football tradition. File it with stupid kick-off times, no FA Cup replays, semi-finals at Wembley, 5+ teams in the CL, expensive match tickets etc. |  | | |  |

Not really. The Championship has a full schedule on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The issue is the expanded European competitions limiting the number of midweeks for rearranged game. Therefore, they have kept the Easter weekend free for the FA Cup and scheduled an extra round during the break in European competitions. | |

Too right. I was around before football was invented in 1992.
Yes the stadiums were basic, but IMO the overall experience was better. I can understand why so many fans have binned off PL football in favour of non-league. | | | |

Saw someone say that this weekend just gone is usually 1/4 final weekend.
It’s only usually the one normal game week for the PL over Easter anyway, not two like the EFL. | |
