How did they even know to look at it? Seems vindictive to me.

Or why haven’t they gone running to the FA & said “we missed a blatant penalty” too. Clearly just him being a little b1tch.

Clearly vindictive. The FA report says the “hair pull” was so violent it made the Leicester player’s head jolt back. Something so clear and obvious… yet bubsy and his assistants all missed it? Clearly not fit to referee if they miss something so blatant.

More to the point, there is literally no footage which has been seen publically which shows ANY of this. We are entitled to know, surely, if there is some devastating conclusive footage as they appear to describe, or whether they are in fact lying.

Quite. Yet apparently the whole panel saw it clearly on the footage. What footage were they looking at and why haven’t we been able to see it? It’s all very odd.

It looks corrupt. And not for the first time in recent seasons. I dont mean that in the sense of brown envelopes (though we must not simpyl rule that out as something that could never happen in the English game, given the amounts of money sloshing about). Rather in the sense of referees and FA backing each other up and convincing themselves of something in the face of all the evidence. It shows a very troubling absence of real integrity, independence and disciplined thinking. [Post edited 23 Mar 13:15]

I think there would have been, lets say 'ramifications', if they'd gone against the Leicester players version of events here, but they've chosen to over egg what happened to such a degree that it's made them look ridiculous. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

How did he manage to see it on the replay? It's not close to being obvious from the main camera angle and his eyesight is so bad he couldn't see Kipre clearly being fouled despite looking right at it from a few yards away. Jesus must have paid him a visit on the Sunday to sort his eyes out.

I didn't see the original incident at time although Okoli clearly suggested that his hair was pulled. Whether the ref should go back to look at that again with less than conclusive footage is another matter.

Oh absolutely- they are very much in the ‘one bad apple’ gang. Close ranks and shut down any due process. Unfortunate that these issues are too small to challenge and (I assume) there is not some kind of ‘small claims court’ version of the court of arbitration for sport. I feel that ultimately the inconsistency in process and decision making needs to be regularly shown up by a third party for any institutional change to take place. Institutions that a corrupt in these ways, are also unfortunately ripe for the other types corruption such as financial.
