Sun is currently on a stadium tour at PR, some photo going round on X of Sun sitting in the changing rooms with a load of Town shirts behind with the word Sun on them.
Apparently HALO sponsors are very unhappy as the word HALO should be after the word Sun.
I'm sure there will be a Guardian story about it tomorrow which someone will link.

Canary islands storms, had some sun when I was there but rains storms daily before in January and now in March. Blooms in areas of desert.
Death Valley is in rare bloom after heavy rains.
Australia in long spells of rain and cloud in their summer for February following a hot January- February brought extreme rainfall, making it the wettest summer in a decade |  |

When you see the increase in energy in the system compared to just a few decades ago it’s not surprising things are going a bit haywire. It was all predicted in earlier climate models of course. Way back in the 90s when I was doing my PhD we knew it was very likely we’d be having very erratic and extremes of weather down the line.
Yet we’ve had a very well-funded anti-climate science movement doing whatever they can to discredit anything that threatens the profits made by the oil and gas industry. And despite all the evidence we’re already in trouble and heading for worse that effort has set us back (we’re seeing it today with people pushing to scrape the bottom of the North Sea gas fields despite it making no economic or strategic sense).
Part of that anti-science movement is Reform, who are doing whatever they can to stop efforts to tackle climate change, which would make a worst future for our kids and grandkids - https://bylinetimes.com/2026/0 | |
