Do you have a season ticket ?

| Has he gone yet? on 11:00 - Mar 27 by darkhorse28 | Are you serious? I’ve just seen a man in the supermarket, trilly full of cheese, I wondered if you could help me, do you think he likes cheese?? FFS. And his love of any party isn’t the issue - destroying out brand equity, our commercial potential, the brand value of every existing and future player, coach, manager, investor, sponsor, owner, etc of OUR club. Playing party politics for his ego, HAS destroyed our future and probably our present as a football club…, I’d say the tank stupidity of decision making, was gross misconduct enough. This isn’t a matter of politics. Stop falling into Ashtons and Faragrs reductive trap, this is 100% about judgement and competence and playing politics with a football club, which has never happened in the history of football for a reason, WE ARE DONE AS A CLUB while he stays. And the longer it takes to get him out, the worse the damage, football doesn’t forget. But your apathetic, weak as water, apologist post, says 100% how we got here. Apathetic support, happy with an egomaniac making the whole executive function about HIM and HIM alone. Where were you when he spent £250 million badly? Made a manager without a seconds elite manager experience one of the best paid in world football? Delivered the worst season in our clubs history? The apathy. The not wanting to rock the boat. The need to sit on the fence. Be liked. THAT is how we got here, our club, our brand, our future in tatters. Zero agency, zero oversight, zero accountability, and that’s from us too! We didn’t do enough…, me included - I should have got the bed sheets out to get the ego maniac out before this damage was done - nothing to do with his politics. Everything to do with his competence and judgement, for the last two years at least (35 years in truth). |
Im beginning to think you dont like Ashton. Can you elaborate a little more ?

Not at all. The team are a top-six sidebut no miracles have been performed this year, especially given how much money’s been spent. As for the Reform situation, it’s not ideal, but it shouldn’t have reached the levels of discontent and outcry we’ve seen. So overall, good, not amazing. The Reform issue, not ideal, but nowhere near as bad as it’s being made out. Balance.

Screaming culture wars at each other hides the real issue.... whilst also, conversely, highlighting exactly why this was such a terrible thing to do, regardless of the specific politics involved. Yep! 100% or though for some that’s clearly the main reason regarding some of the outrage from a few. I was surprised to see Phil saying who our owners might support politically. It’s no one’s business who any private citizen of any country vote for quite frankly, just because they are involved with ITFC. Someone might have strong opinions on Spanish politics but I doubt that comes up interviews interviews with Azon. What the huge mistake was on Monday is suddenly allowing the two to be mixed and any political party to using the club’s backdrop for its own material, that’s the entire point (well it should be anyway).
