As you know, I'm in the USA (fan since 1981), but I've never been to PR (or any match we've ever played), so my saying that I won't buy tickets doesn't mean anything.
But I have to do something to show my position. I do not support Nigel Farage, Reform UK, or any other protofascists (such as Donald Trump in the US). And Farage has painted our beloved club with his tarnished brush. And Mark Ashton and others allowed it to happen, and lied about it when called out on it.
I cannot support this.
You might know (but based on analytics, you probably don't), but I've been streaming Ipswich Town on Football Manager on Twitch for the past 2.5 years. Four times a week, every week. This year I started streaming the women's team on Saturdays (something I'd been looking forward to for years).
No more.
I can't promote a club whose leadership has allowed such divisiveness to occur. This is a "know or should have known" situation. They failed, spectacularly and publicly.
Therefore, starting tomorrow. I'm starting a new save. I won't be streaming ITFC on Twitch until Ashton and everyone responsible for this fiasco is out of this club, AND steps are taken to repair the damage that has been done to our beloved club.
