The last time we lost a game was 21st February. Since which we are W5 D3 GD+9, conceding just 6 goals (3 of them in one match).

Genuine question, but have you ever done an assessment of what percentage of these actually end up being correct?

Boro to lose 4/5? Or 3/4 without our game? Hmm. Assuming they beat Sheff Wed that means they would be losing Saturday. Let's hope so.

Probably based on the fact we are unbeaten since February.

Gosh, Boro are going to fall apart, 3 points in 5 games and then have to face Soton in the playoffs.

No, not really much point. In any case, they are a moving target as fixtures are played and form shifts. Ultimately, they become 100% correct at the end of the season, as there are no longer any games left and the outstanding balance (taken from form) is zero.

These tables are not so much a prediction of precise totals - Edit: let alone results - (even if presented that way), but rather an indication of how trends based upon form would affect the final outcome. Basically, if things continue how they have been, roughly where would each team finish.

Six weeks ago I said this and it's still valid.

Right, who's going to Watford tonight then? by Cafe_Newman 24 Feb 9:11
Enjoy it.

Tonight's match will start a run where we'll only lose once more this season.

The thing I like most about these tables is that you only ever publish them after a Town win. It keeps the forum much happier. It's much appreciated.

Not actually true (altho it may have seemed that way in some recent seasons). I feel it would be dishonest to do that.

Obviously, being a fan, I prefer to see positive predictions for Town. But this is purely a mathematical procedure, I can't fudge the outcome. It doesn't work until a bit after the half-way point of the season and becomes a little pointless right at the end. But from late February through March and April I try to do them fairly regularly.

First started doing it in 2013, during McCarthy's great escape from relegation. There is a sizeable archive.

Well it's certainly true for this season. You've published the table 8 times, only twice after draws, the rest after wins and studiously avoided doing so after our solitary loss against Wrexham in February.
