A good game of football between two good champ teams. I thought we shaded it but for some really sloppy defending for goals. But a draw was fair.

Today was not the problem. The performance at Portsmouth was poor. A win a Pompy and today would have been a cracking result. Even a draw at Pompy would have been a lot better. The defeat and the manner of it has us all edgy

I think the Derby game always takes up a lot of energy and emotion. Out of the system now. We really need to attack the Charlton game. They will approach it exactly the same. Kill us on the break. If we are sensible and bring the intensity we can get it done. Ideally score a few and get the goal difference healthy against Southampton.

We will need to have a really strong mentality because we will likely be 4th going into it.

You are asking for the one thing we absolutely don't have sadly.

It’s about results at this point of the season. We needed to win both our home games realistically to get it done (in my opinion).

So will politely disagree on it being fine.

If they prove me wrong and win two away on the bounce, then I’ll never be more pleased to be proven wrong.

I find it interesting that you think we shaded it. I thought we shaded the first half but that Boro were the far better side in the second.

You’re right about needing the mentality, I think us being back to being the chasers might suit this group better.

They played through us second half, completely lost the midfield and Boro should have put the game to bed. Feels weird that we almost feel relieved to get out of it with a point but it’s still not a good result.

Whilst true about home games

I dont think many thought wed go to Coventry and win. So if we ended up winning at Southampton that trumps today if we do the business v brom and charlton.

Every result always depends on the next one really to determine how bad that result was

Pompy was bad but because we beat nodge it wasn't the end of the world
If we won Tues away theh today's draw is a good point. Etc etc

Candy and nuts, 4 points out of 9 isn’t what we needed but of course we are still right there.

I guess I shouldn’t completely write us off getting soemthing at Southampton but I’ve had a feeling for quite a long time they will win if it’s a chance to overtake us.

I’ve watched them a fair bit recently and they have a few things I see that is lacking from us going forward.

The point I was making is if we had performed at Pompy as we should and got 3 points we would have been satisfied with today.

Respectfully, that point is obviously completely pointless because it didn’t happen and we lost. So we all knew the state of play coming in to the game today?

I think we should have been at least a goal up in second half. I think Boro shaded second half but balance of the whole of that half was pretty even.

I don't think Boro were ever dominant for me. We just let them in far too easily on 2-3 occasions. I find us extremely frustrating in how we defend across the team. We are never aggressive.

Respectfully it's not completely pointless. It's taking the emotion out of the result for a moment. That we knew the state of play didn't make it an easier game.

We showed up today and played quite well. An even game. I'm just saying I think a lot of the frustration comes more from Tuesday and where the we sit points wise now rather than today.
