But which Leicester players could be fully redeemed in good sides next year, away from the Leicester circus. Any we would see as realistic targets / or would want here? [Post edited 20 Apr 12:05]

Definitely a solid player with PL experience and know how, he seems evergreen too [Post edited 20 Apr 21:58]

He would seem to me a like-for-like replacement for Akpom!

| Leicester players.. on 13:09 - Apr 20 by ElderGrizzly | I'd read earlier in the season, 7 of the top 10 earners in the Championship are at Leicester. Matt Targett (at Boro) is the highest paid player on £100k a week due to his wage from his parent club. |
Matt Targett at 100k is hilarious.
| Leicester players.. on 23:09 - Apr 20 with 77 views | BouncebackIpswich | Did say I'd take a break from TWTD but coming on briefly just to give thoughts on this. I've not watched anything like as much LCFC as Ipswich this year but here are the ones worth a possible look, or that may be under consideration. SENIOR PROS Abdul Fatawu - fast, direct winger, great shot on him, and surprisingly good defensively too. Seems a good/ positive character. However he is a real moments player and can frustrate for the vast majority of games, often very peripheral and has the tendency to be too selfish. Also extremely one footed and can be predictable. Given the price Leicester will want and competition for his signing, I'd avoid. Stephy Mavididi - different to Fatawu in that he's more tricky and much less direct, maybe a bit more versatile but on the whole his ceiling is lower. He can be extremely good when in form though and was key in the title winning season and may be a better fit for a McKenna team than Fatawu. However he seems to have been out of form since about halfway through the Prem season. Ok for back up but avoid as a first choice. Wout Faes - one who may be worth a look, he's quite a rounded defender and can be quite physical and committed, good pace, good at playing out from the back although susceptible to over playing. However, he seems to have a giant inflated ego and has fallen out with the crowd multiple times and basically became so toxic he was shipped out on loan. Footballing wise he's good enough for high end Champ / lower PL but he probably fails the no D1ckh3ds rule. Jannik Vestergaard - probably everyone's pretty familiar with him, extremely technical ball playing defender, a giant. Lack of pace is an Achilles heel otherwise he'd be at a top side. Also question marks over his attitude reportedly one of the bad eggs in the dressing room. Would avoid given age and drawbacks. Harry Winks - a very talented midfielder with great passing ability, but weak as a kitten and frankly uncommitted half the time. Needs a physical partner next to him to thrive. He was admittedly immense in the title winning season. But his attitude is appalling and he is a rotten character and he is on enormous wages. Leicester fans hate him, he's fallen out with the last 3 managers, refused to play and quite obviously is more concerned with avoiding injury than helping the team. A talisman for the double relegations. Avoid like the plague. Ollie Skipp - he's a solid but unspectacular DM / CM. Works hard, puts his foot in, and is good on the ball sometimes but also plays it far too safe. He's often got benched for Winks but I frankly much prefer him, less talented but tries much harder. Only 25 despite looking in his 40s and may be worth a look as a reliable 3rd or 4th choice back up CM. He cost £25 mill which was an obscene price so lots of Lesta fans don't like him for that, but as a cheap pick up he'd do a job. YOOF Ben Nelson - 21 year old tall, athletic, ball playing CB. Had a lot of playing time this year and at times been exposed with poor positioning but has tonnes of potential, I'd be surprised if Leicester hold onto him as he's easy Champ level with potential to go higher. Louis Page - 17 YO box to box midfielder. Lots of energy and drive and shows huge promise. Probably will be retained though and refined in league 1 before he gets sold. Jeremy Monga - Young raw winger, 16 YO, tricky, 2 footed, fearless. Was a breath of fresh air towards the start of the season but he's really struggled since Christmas. Of he kicks on he is future PL quality. | |
