I truly believe that game was there to be won. Why does it end up in a battle and in a losing position ?
With a bit more composure and less panic up front we could have
been 2-0 up at half time.
Sometimes it just takes that little extra bit of skill. That bit of quality.

"When we went 1-0 up, there was a period of five to 10 minutes where they really got on top of us and we probably didn’t manage that as well as we could. They needed to win, so they were always going to come out and give it everything after we go 1-0 up and we could probably manage that moment in the game a little bit better."
We see that period out and as you say we could have gone in 2-0 up instead.
If we do go a goal ahead saturday i dont mind seeing us trying to play the ball around in their half. But if that ball comes anywhere near our box just get rid and regroup. [Post edited 28 Apr 23:41]

Said we had to see out 20 after we scored. I’d have been so confident then, not quite calm enough. Can’t believe a third didn’t come at the end. Praying none of this matters Saturday. [Post edited 28 Apr 23:43]

Was like the 12th round of a boxing match with one punched out and the other going for it. Shame we didn't edge it, but for a few millimeters etc... confident for Saturday |  |

Probably because there were 2 good teams on the pitch trying to win it. And a home side who haven’t lost in about 20 league games, have beaten Fulham & Arsenal in recent weeks and gone toe to toe with Man City at the weekend.
Frustrating not to win with the chances we created, but we played well away to a side many would argue are better than us. Not perfect, but when is it ever? They were always going to have a go. |  | | |
