It's possible to acknowledge the bravery of the officers, the danger they were in, the good outcome of disarming and arresting the terrorist etc. I don't even really care much for the health of the terrorist considering what he'd done. But still, why were they kicking him in the head? Looks weird. |
My immediate thought if I was tackling a terrorist like this would be if he had an explosive device and if the hand I couldn’t see was reaching for a detonator. As such I’d not hesitate to kick him int the head if I thought it might prevent that. |  | |  |

It's not like I'm that bothered about it as an isolated incident, I don't want an inquiry or anything. We don't know full details, but the fact the Met Police release a massive statement with not one word of explanation for it tells me there was no reason for head kicking. Maybe the guy got carried away in the emotion of it, fine, it's not a problem, the guy is a terrorist, but just don't lie, admit the head kicking was unnecessary and move on.
