I liked Enciso. Bit of a maverick but he had some real quality. I appreciate in the prem you have to rely on moments of individual quality if you are fighting down at the bottom and Enciso had that. |  |

But there's no way we're replacing the entire team. This team has been built with PL in mind. Young hungry players with big potential.

We have bought young players who we hope will improve and some of them might. I would say Dara, Greaves, Leif, Matusiwa and Philogene/Clarke COULD start next year, but 3 of those will have to have progressed from last time! | | | |

This a million times over. You only have to watch the City game tonight. Everton are so powerful and athletic. Even the likes of Brentford and Fulham are. If we want to close the gap on teams like them, we need to take the next step. | | | |

Am I imagining things or wasn't it said at the start of this season that we would be targeting just that physicality in our transfer business?
We have purchased a couple who are strong but not pacey.
A few more who are technical but not particularly powerful or pacey.
We have a squad that has done exceptionally well to get us promoted but, as said elsewhere, very few of them will keep us up. | | | |

I disagree. I believe the team was built to get promoted. About half of our squad will be replaced with upgrades otherwise it's unlikely we stay up. That is the brutal reality. Sunderland and Leeds have shown us the way. We have to get all of the new starters right. It's a massive task. Not all new players will play at first, but I would expect most will be playing by Christmas. There will also be rotation with existing players. | | | |
